We are happy to announce Codie Prevost as our latest Fresh Find here at Freshly Brewed Country!
Since starting his career Codie Prevost has shared the stage with some of country music’s top performers including Florida Georgia Line, Joe Nichols, Jason Aldean, Big & Rich, and Michelle Wright. He is a four-time Canadian Country Music Association Nominee and has received 26 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards including “Entertainer Of The Year” and “Male Vocalist”.
His most recent album “All Kinds Of Crazy” recently received “Country Recording Of The Year” at the 2014 Western Canadian Music Awards. Prevost just returned from his first Australian tour where he performed at the world famous Tamworth Country Music Festival.
More shows are scheduled in April and May for the Imagine No Bullying Tour. The proceeds from these concerts go to the Canadian Red Cross.
Throughout Codie’s career, he has remained the same humble farm boy. Every Tuesday night he logs into Twitter to connect with his fans and friends. He wants nothing more than to help people through his songs and he does that. The Imagine No Bullying tour is a great example.
Codie is a great musician, a great writer, a great friend, a great husband, and a great leader. His music rocks, and his personality is solid. He is a wonderful person to know, and a talented artist and he has an extensive resume of awards and achievements to prove it.

FBC: What made you want to get involved in the country music world?
CP: I grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan listening to Country Music for most of my childhood. My mom would play a lot of records by Johnny Horton, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, and other legendary Country Music artists. I always loved when my mom and uncle would pick up the acoustic guitars at family functions. I have never forgot the way music could make people feel something and this is what truly inspired me to become a singer/songwriter!
FBC: If you could do a country duet with anyone who would it be and why?
CP: I would do a duet with Keith Urban. Ever since he came out with his first album I’ve never missed an album since. He is a great musician, Songwriter, as well as performer and would be amazing to get to work with him.
FBC: Who is your country music idol and why?
CP: Performing wise I would say Keith Urban, as he is an incredible performer. When it comes to songwriting I think Eric Church is one of the best songwriters in Country Music today!
FBC: What are three fun facts about you that you want your fans to know?
CP: Here are three fun facts about myself! 1 - Love to cook and try new ingredients. (This doesn’t always work out that good) 2 - Love to fish and spend time in the outdoors. 3 - One of my favorite things to do is turn on spotify and jog. I could run for miles if I put on a good album!
