We know you want to know more about Ayla so be sure to check out our interview with her.

FBC: What made you want to get involved in the country music world?

AB: When I was a senior in high school, my best friend gave me a copy of the Rascal Flatts album and I completely fell in love with country music. I grew up listening to power vocalists like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. I love anything with a great harmony. When I heard the sounds coming form that CD I was hooked, and I started exploring the genre more. My parents never listened to country growing up, and now I find myself educating them!

FBC: What do you use for inspiration to write your songs?

AB: Inspiration comes from all different places. When I write songs by myself I have to be in a very inspired mood to write and complete a song. Usually my best work comes from when a guy has broken up with me and I'm sad about it. That's when my best material comes out of me. However, when I write with other people I always have a list on my phone with different song titles and ideas to get the conversation flowing!

FBC: What was the backstory/inspiration behind your song Take Your Name?

AB: I wrote "Take Your Name" on a plane when I was going to upstate NY to visit my sister. I had that song title in my phone for about a month prior to writing it, and for whatever reason, I got super inspired to write the song on the place that day. One barf bag and thirty minutes later, the song was completely finished. The song is all about being in love with someone so much that you want to just take their last name and commit to them forever.

FBC: Who is your country music idol and why?

AB: I love opening up for all types of artists. I've had the opportunity to open for people such as Josh Turner, Sara Evans, Eric Church, Craig Morgan, Lee Brice, Charlie Daniels and so many more. When I watch their show from my seat, or backstage, I always try and act like a sponge and soak up every word they say, every move they make on stage, how they interact with the fans, the flow of their setlist. I truly enjoy learning from people who have been singing a lot longer than I have. But my favorite artist right now is Brett Young. I feel as though he my writing soulmate, and I even told him that when I met him! I would love to write a song with him or do a duet.

FBC: What was your experience like performing at the Grand Ole Opry?

AB: Absolutely incredible!! I will never forget the moment when I walked out on stage. My family was there and was so proud of me, and I had a lot of support from other family members and friends who have been with me on this crazy musical journey who were able to experience that night with me. Even typing these words right now is giving me butterflies. I would be honored to sing on that stage if given the opportunity again.

FBC: If you could perform a duet with anyone who would it be and why?

AB: Brett Young, as I said before. Not only is is amazingly talented, but I love what he sings about. And it doesn't hurt that he's also 6'6 and good looking. I'm just sayin'....I see the music video in my head already!! ;-)

FBC: What are three fun facts about each of you that you want your fans to know?

AB: Ayla played college basketball at Boston College for four years. Ayla was in AP ceramics in high school, and continued my pottery in college and when I moved down to TN. Ayla makes t-shirt quilts so I can save all my memories and look at them every time I snuggle up with one of the quilts
