The daughter of a local farmer, rising country songstress Arista Manning’s musical career began with the southern roots that now help grow her artistry – inside her hometown church in Kentucky, where she played piano and sang in the choir at just eight years old.

After taking the stage at local talent shows and events for several years, Arista’s goals broadened beyond her small town, and the teenager began traveling to Music City to record demos and pursue the dreams that have continued to follow her.

Today at 22, Arista has already recorded and released her debut EP, Ride This Night, blending traditional country influences with her youthful and inspired vocal tenacity. “Ride This Night has been such a blessing in my life,” said Arista of her first project. “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed about making my own music, and to be able to see that process unfold before my eyes is an experience that I’ll always hold close to my heart.”

With five original songs, Ride This Night, takes listeners on a journey of both nostalgia and adventure. From lyrics about spirituality and trusting God to deliver your dreams (“Amen to That”), to living in the moment and seeking the unknown (“Ride This Night), Arista pays homage to the sound and storytelling of the classics from the genre, while beautifully reflecting her own experience as she begins to carve her path as a new artist – one that will resonate with listeners who have answered the call of their dreams.

Arista’s first single from the record, “Southern Drawl,” is an energetic nod to those who have “an appreciation for all things southern.” As entertaining as it is catchy, Arista brings hard-hitting vocals and an attitude to the track that is hard to resist.

The upbeat tune and Arista’s refreshing sound have already impacted radio and grabbed the attention of industry professionals. Al Windsperger of WYRQ said of “Southern Drawl,” “The music on the track reminds me of Charlie Daniel’s southern style… [Arista has] a nice voice that is easy to listen to.” Seth Coburn of KLAW noted that “[Arista has] got a great voice, and ‘Southern Drawl’ is a great mix of classic country with a modern sound.”

FBC: What made you want to get involved in the country music world?

AM: I've always loved music, even from a young age, and country music is very special because there is meaning and usually a story behind every song. My musical style fits so naturally in this genre and I can confidently express myself through country music.

FBC: What do you use for inspiration to write your songs?

AM: I started writing as early as elementary school. Expressing myself on paper also became an outlet for me at such a young age. I am a very emotional person, therefore, it's easy for me to write about how I'm feeling about different situations and why I felt the way I did. Also, I love when you can personally connect with the lyrics of a song and relate to the meaning behind it. That's definitely a goal of mine as an artist, to be relatable and spark real emotion from a song.

FBC: If you could perform a duet with anyone who would it be and why?

AM: If I could perform a duet with anyone it would be Thomas Rhett. I love his carefree and laid-back personality and I think we would have a blast doing a show together. It's going to happen someday for sure!

FBC: What was the inspiration behind “Ride This Night"?

AM: The EP as a whole was the first impression I would make coming into the country music world as a new artist, and my main goal was to create something that not only exemplified who I am as an artist, but also I wanted to create music that made people happy when they listen to it. If you notice, there's not a single ballad on the EP because I intended for this album to be nothing but high energy and positive. I feel like my personality really shines throughout "Ride This Night" and I couldn't be more pleased with how the EP turned out and all the great feedback I've received so far.

FBC: What was your favorite part about making the video for "Southern Drawl"?

AM: Creating my very first music video was very exciting and so much fun. I loved incorporating several friends and family into the video, that definitely made the experience not only entertaining, but also special. We also filmed the video on my grandparent's farm in my hometown which also added sentimental value to the project as well. All in all it was a great experience!

FBC: Who is your country music idol and why?

My country music idol is Carrie Underwood. I've always been a huge fan of hers not only because she's very talented and gifted as an artist, but I look up to her because I admire her character and the kind of person that she is. She's firm in her beliefs and has never been easily influenced by society or the media. She has always put her faith and her family first in her life and I have so much respect for her. As a public figure, it's so admirable that Carrie stays true to herself.

FBC: What are three fun facts about you that you want your fans to know?

AM: I love Mexican food, especially tacos. Grilled chicken tacos are my favorite! I love spontaneous road trips. The destination doesn't matter but if you have good company, random adventures are so fun! I'm a dog mom to my precious German Shepherd pup named Jax.
