We are happy to announce Celeste Kellogg as our latest Fresh Find here at Freshly Brewed Country!

Celeste is a CMA/Nashville Recording Artist who's song "The Look" charted overseas at the age of 16. She was the 2nd pop/country artist to be featured in the print addition of the National Publication "Pop Star" magazine, the 1st being Taylor Swift.

Celeste has released two ep's This is Where I Wanna Be, which she co-wrote with several writers in Nashville. The 2nd EP is titled "Broken Record" where she pinned all the songs herself. Celeste will be joining multi-platinum producer Andrew Lane in Nashville to record her third EP titled You & Me.

At just 21 she has opened for Raven, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Kelly Clarkson, Eric Paslay, Easton Corbin, Raelynn, LeAnn Rimes and Cowboy Troy. Celeste recently received 1st place at the Music Madness Awards in Nashville for her songwriting.

After hearing Celeste sing, Linda Davis (mother to Hilary Scott of Lady Antebellum) said she was the Shania of this generation. Celeste feels, that is a huge compliment, that she hopes to live up to one day.

We know you want to know more about Celeste Kellogg so be sure to check out our interview with her below.

FBC: What made you want to get involved in the country music world?

CK: I loved listening to country music and a lot of the artists in the genre. I loved how it told a story and how sincere the artists were. It was the kind of music I loved to write and sing and listen to!

FBC: What song of yours is your favorite and why?

CK: My favorite song of mine that I've released is "Tornado". I love weather so I've written quite a few songs with a weather theme. When I wrote "Tornado" I was in an uneasy place. I applied it to the feeling of knowing something bad is going to happen but it's not there yet... like a storm on it's way. So it's my favorite because of the meaning behind it and the studio musicians I worked with made it sound EPIC instrumentally (honestly the ending without my voice is my favorite part of the song lol).

FBC: Who is your country music idol and why?

CK: My country music Idol would probably be Alan Jackson. I grew up listening to my Dad sing and whenever I heard Alan's voice it reminded me of my Dads. So for a long time he was my favorite artist and someone I really looked up to as a writer and an artist who just knew who he was and stuck to that.

FBC: If you could do a country duet with anyone who would it be and why?

CK: I would love to do a duet with Shania Twain. A lot of people have compared me to her and I look up to her songwriting and positive attitude! I think a girl power duet with her would be really cool!

FBC: What are three fun facts about you that you want your fans to know?

CK: I love to edit videos! I'm a terrible bowler. I can pogo stick without holding on to the handle bars!
