We are happy to announce the talented Lauren Davidson as our latest Fresh Find here at Freshly Brewed Country!
Lauren Davidson is a New York City based singer-songwriter with a unique and powerful voice. Performing professionally since the age of 10, Lauren is a seasoned Entertainer who's presence and greatest joy is being on stage and sharing the music that she creates in collaboration with many of the finest musicians working today.
Her influences fall across many genres of music including Rock, Pop, Contemporary Country and Jazz. In addition to her Solo Career, Lauren tours extensively as the Female Lead Singer with "Big Hix", the number 1 contemporary country tribute band in the Northeast.
She also recently co-wrote and recorded a country-themed jingle for a NJ based Company that aired extensively on WKMK-Thunder106 Radio and covered the famed "Route 66" also staring in the accompanying music video for the TV Show "Corvette Nation" airing on Disney's The Velocity Channel.
Lauren is currently working on her first LP of original songs and will be releasing new music on a regular basis.

We know you want to know more about Lauren Davidson so be sure to check out our interview with her below.
FBC: What made you want to get involved in the country music world?
LD: I honestly fell into it accidentally. I was asked to sub a gig in a contemporary country cover band and just instantly connected to the lyrics and melodies of the songs I was covering. I fell in love with women such as Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert and found many parallels to the music I was already writing and just sort of ended up in this world I never expected to be in.
FBC: What song of yours is your favorite and why?
LD: This is a tough one. I think Sometimes is my favorite, not only because it was my debut single but also because I remember exactly how I felt writing it every time I perform it or hear it. It's such a feel good song- at least it makes me feel good and I hope everyone agrees.
FBC: What has been your favorite memory of your music journey so far?
LD: I have so many. Most recently getting to open for LOCASH was such a fun and memorable night. Also maybe the first time I performed my songs with my band. It was so great to hear my ideas come to life.
FBC: What do you use for inspiration to write your songs?
LD: Anything and everything. Sometimes I write about a past or current experience. Sometimes I write a melody and write based on how it makes me feel in that moment. Nothing is off limits.
FBC: What was the name of the first song you ever wrote and what was it about?
LD: The first song I ever wrote is called Hear Me. It's about a relationship gone wrong.
FBC: Who is your country music idol and why?
LD: I have so many! There are so many amazing country musicians out there. But I think in a genre that is so heavily populated with men that all the successful women deserve so much credit for shining through. My top two would have to be Carrie and Miranda. Like I said earlier I think it's their music that's heavily influenced my journey into this world.
FBC: If you could do a country duet with anyone who would it be and why?
LD: These are amazing and tricky questions! I think the girls above for some girl power but I'd love a duet with Kip Moore. His voice is just killer. And I'm a huge fan of Keith Urban.
FBC: What are three fun facts about you that you want your fans to know?
LD: 1) I write a lot of my songs with my dad. It's a family affair. - I grew up in the theatre and am a huge fan of musicals. 2) My guilty pleasures are teenage dramas like One Tree Hill and Pretty Little Liars. 3) I love football!!! - GO JETS!!
