We are happy to announce the talented Adam Sanders as our latest Fresh Find here at Freshly Brewed Country!

Adam Sanders grew up in the north Florida town of Lake City, where he spent much of his youth with music; playing local fairs, talent shows and town festivals. While spending summers with his dad in Nashville, Adam found himself in and out of studios on Music Row with his uncle and professional session musician, Scotty Sanders.

It was then that Adam fell in love with the recording process, and the creative side of the music business. He knew this was where he was meant to be. With a plan of moving to Music City following high school graduation, Adam would spend as much time as possible, teaching himself to write songs about the things in life he knew about.

In 2009, Adam made the move to Nashville. While working construction on the side to pay the bills, Adam’s songwriting opened to co-writing, and building core relationships in the business. After just two years, Adam landed his first publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music and has had songs recorded by super stars such as Luke Bryan, whose album Crash My Party (featuring Sanders’ “Out Like That”) had the third highest debut of any record in 2013.

Since then, more of Adam’s original songs have landed on projects by artists including (friend and fellow collaborator), Cole Swindell (“Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” & “Dozen Roses and A Six Pack”), Dierks Bentley (“Sounds of Summer”), Dustin Lynch (“Hell of a Night”) and Scotty McCreery. He scored his first #1 single as a songwriter in March, 2015, when “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” hit the top of the chart and had a second #1 with “Hell of a Night” in the summer of ’15.

Adam has been burning up the road, sharing stages with the likes of Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Randy Houser, Dustin Lynch, Easton Corbin, The Cadillac Three, Gary Allan, Eric Paslay, Cole Swindell and more.

Adam’s debut single, “Nothin’ To Do But Drink,” was released in 2014 and was a Highway Finds track on SiriusXM. In early 2015, Spotify chose Adam as of Country’s “One’s To Watch.” His second single “Somewhere That You Don’t Go” released in May of 2015 was another Highway Finds hit.

His follow up single “Thunder” was released in Nov. 2015 and has over 11 million streams. Adam released his newest track “About To” in Sept. 2016.

We know you want to know more about Adam Sanders so be sure to check out our interview with him.

FBC: What made you want to get involved in the country music world?

AS: Two words: Alan Jackson. As far back as I can remember music has been a huge part of my life. As a kid, Alan was my hero. He's the one that inspired me to chase this crazy dream and without his influence on me as a child, I'm not sure I would have ever taken music further than just a hobby.

FBC: What do you use for inspiration to write your songs?

AS: Honestly, just every day life. I've always tried to write songs about the things I know and I think that's the great thing about Country Music. We get to tell stories and sings about topics that is relatable to everyone in some way or another. For the most part, if I've written it, I've lived it.

FBC: How did you feel the first time you heard your song on the radio?

AS: Truly indescribable… As an artist that's one of the things I think we dream about the most is hearing our songs for the first time on the radio.

FBC: What was the inspiration behind "About To"?

AS: It's sort of a crazy story..."About To" is a song that I wrote with Josh Kerr and Forrest Whitehead who are both monster writers! After hearing the track that Josh was building, I convinced them that we should try and write a song for my buddy Dustin Lynch. I had spent a couple days with Dustin along with some close friends out on the lake a few days prior and got a chance to hear some songs that he was considering recording for his next album. Those songs all had this sort of "sexy" vibe and I felt, if we wrote it right, we would have a good shot at getting his attention. Turns out, Dustin loved the song and actually considered cutting it but for whatever reason it just didn't happen. My publisher and management heard the song and both fell in love and I guess the rest is history…ha.

FBC: What has been your favorite memory of creating the "About To" music video?

AS: I think finally working with the the FlyHi Film guys. FlyHi is a film company that was started by a couple friends of mine, Michael "Black Mike" Monaco, and Ryan Schmidt. Mike and Ryan do all the production and video work for guys like Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, and Dustin Lynch and for years talked about working together. Finally we were able to with the "About To" video shoot and I couldn't be more thankful for them and their work. Hopefully it's just the start of many more.

FBC: What has been your favorite memory of performing so far?

AS: Gosh, there's so many…but, if I to pick one, I played a show in Rome, GA, a couple years back at the Rome River Jam with my buddies Cole Swindell, Jon Pardi, and Old Dominion. At the time, this was the biggest show that I had ever played and it happened to fall on my birthday. Cole asked me to come up to sing "Ain't Worth The Whiskey" with him at the end of his show and towards the end of the song as I was supposed to come off stage to let him finish his set out. Little did I know he told me to stay on stage and told the crowd that it was my birthday. He started singing Happy Birthday and the whole crowd of ten thousand joined in. It was a moment I'll never forget!

FBC: Who is your country music idol and why?

AS: Alan Jackson. He's always been my hero since day one. I guess I'll never really know why but as a kid I looked up to him as kind of an uncle and wanted to be just like him.

FBC: If you could perform a duet with anyone who would it be with and why?

AS: Probably Kenny Chesney. To me he's the ultimate triple threat. He can sing em, write em, and preform em all in one.

FBC: What are three fun facts about you that you want your fans to know?

AS: 1) I never went to prom. 2) I knocked out my front tooth when I was in middle school after trying to climb through window to unlock a neighbor's door and have a fake front tooth to this day. 3) My guitar that I play on stage was actually my grandpa's guitar on my mom's side. He was killed in a car wreck when my mom was about 4 years old. It was tucked away in a closet for several years and I didn't really know much about it other than it was his. After asking my mom more about it one night, she told me it was a 56' Gibson. Needless to say I had to have!
