We are happy to announce the talented Adam Searan as our latest Fresh Find here at Freshly Brewed Country!

As Cumulus Radio’s NASH Next debut season runner-up, Adam Searan will join a national tour headlined by Big Machine recording artist RaeLynn and secured multiple features in Country Weekly. Mentored by Big Machine Label Group heads, Scott and Sandi Borchetta, Adam created a music video for his award-winning song, Last. Co-written with publisher/writer, Jon D’Agostino, Last, not only propelled him to the top of the Cumulus Radio challenge, it also added another prestigious credential to his impressive resume.

The song has secured wins as Grand Prize in the Country Category of the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest and in Billboard’s Unsigned Only Music Competition. This award-winning tune has also been garnering critical acclaim among music journalists and radio personalities.

Dr. Dave of KDKD in Clinton, Mo., said Last is the “fresh sound my music lineup has needed,” and that Adam “sings of a burning love without bringing in beer or 4x4's.” Robert K. Oermann of Music Row stated, “This Nashvillian won the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest’s grand prize in the country division with this ringing, stirring, upbeat anthem about questing for answers in an uncertain world. I can certainly hear why. It is immensely melodic and effortlessly hooky.

The bonuses are that he sings it like a bird, and the production is a mini masterpiece. Essential listening.” To date, Adam has been profiled on/in the following: CMA Close Up, Country Weekly, Nashville Scene, Nashville Music Guide, Country Music Tattle Tale, The Daily Country and a variety of radio and TV stations throughout the US.

“Adam, with his distinctive look, style and sound, has created a brand that is unique in contemporary country music,” says Jon D’Agostino, co-writer and President of Demolition Music Publishing. Co-publisher, Abbe Nameche adds, “With his passionate lyrics and original melodies, he puts his signature on every song.”

The roots of this burgeoning performer begin at age 11 when he started experimenting musically with simple songs that were rooted in his faith. Inspired by the sounds of the hit British rock band, Oasis, and fueled by a vast variety of other contemporary story-telling artists such as David Gray, Keith Urban, the Counting Crows and others, Adam has grown into a solid musician and reflective songwriter. Fresh new melodic direction and the avoidance of clichés are just two of his greatest strengths. His songs have been featured in prime-time hit series such as Cold Case, Miami Ink and American Weed.

On the performance front, this tattooed troubadour has a penchant for connecting with a live audience. Whether performing to a full house or handful of listeners, Searan knows how to engage and entertain anyone in the room. Country Weekly published a review of Adam’s performance stating, “Void of bells, whistles and other production razzle-dazzle, Adam is compelling, drawing the audience in with his vocals that are as authentic and sincere as his lyrics.”

Co-publishers Jon D’Agostino and Abbe Nameche saw the talent early on and inked a publishing deal with Adam. Together, they hope to build a Lasting impression on the ears and hearts of the masses.

We know you want to know more about Adam Searan so be sure to check out our interview with him.

FBC: What made you want to get involved in the country music world?

AS: I’d say my love of the “song” is what brought me into country music. 90s Country and older have always been my favorite eras of country music for that same reason. Country music has always been known for its unique clever story-telling and genuine heartfelt songs, and that is something I am proud to be a part of.

FBC: What do you use for inspiration to write your songs?

AS: Real-life is always the first place I look for inspiration, if I’m singing it, writing it, or playing it then you can count on its authenticity.

FBC: What is the back story to your song "Bumper Sticker"?

AS: A while back I was in a relationship that I was too afraid to pursue whole heartedly. I instead chose to be “wild and free”. I pulled from that life lesson to contribute to writing a song about the regret of letting that car drive away with an amazing woman I could’ve maybe spent my life with in it. “I can’t tell you if she ever looked back in that rear-view mirror…but I remember that bumper sticker”. She was certainly the one that got away.

FBC: What was your experience like on NASH Next?

AS: Cumulus was great to work with and it was incredible learning experience/process to go through. I think they are wrapping up season 2? I can’t believe it’s been a year already. I met a lot of great people personally and professionally. I am grateful to Nash for supporting independent artists like myself.

FBC: We heard you joined RaeLynn on a nationwide tour, what was most exciting about that experience?

AS: I did have the opportunity to share the stage with RaeLynn as a part of Nash Next. Seeing her perform live was fantastic and getting to meet some new fans. RaeLynn is a fantastic person, and the folks over at BMLG are incredible to work with. Also, one of the dates was in TX, and anyone who knows me knows I love TX.

FBC: Who is your country music idol and why?

AS: I would say Keith Urban hands down. First, he writes incredible songs. Second, he plays those songs very well and puts on a heck of a show. Third, Keith has always been transparent, staying true to himself, and the guy certainly treats his fans with respect. Lastly, when it comes to trying new things Keith is always coming up with new grooves and sounds to break the mold.

FBC: What are three fun facts about you that you want your fans to know?

AS: Everyone always asks about my tattoos, so I’ll let everyone know my tattoos are a secret code to who I am as a person. By chance if you can figure out my tattoos you might be able to figure out a lot about me you didn’t know.

I also have two comic book guitars that match my tattoos. One is a Captain America Martin and the other is an Incredible Hulk Ovation.

I still watch cartoons. I am justified in this cause I have a ten year old son who is the coolest, which is also the excuse I use to justify owning all the current generation gaming systems.
